I’m so mad I could spit. I just caught Zachary, who is grounded for not doing his chores, watching TV. He tried to get the TV turned off before I rounded the corner, but missed it by a split second.
I will be so glad when I don’t have to deal with kids testing limits anymore. Oh, wait… I just had a baby. I have 18 more years of limit-testing to look forward to. Woohoo… 
Little Miss Rosalie Denae joined the family on Tuesday, April 19th at 11:59 PM. She weighed 5lbs and 12oz and measured 18.5 inches. She is named after my grandmothers (Rose Mary and Ruth Lee) and myself (same middle name).
We did it! It was a long, hard pregnancy, landing me in the hospital or ER four times (not counting her birth) and on bed rest twice, but she’s here! True to form, she didn’t even make her grand entrance easy. They induced labor at 4:30 am on Tuesday (I hollered for an epidural at 4:55 am lol). Throughout the day I made very slow progress on dilation, stalling out at 3cm around noon, and she didn’t take to the pitocin very well. Every time they would increase it, she would start having a too-slow heart rate with each contraction. Finally, my doc checked me at 11:00pm and I was only 6cm (which I had been at for several hours) and Rosie’s heart rate was still dropping with each contraction (it actually sounded like it stopped with some of them), so she called for a c-section. Fifty-nine minutes later, out popped my Rosie. 
Her pediatrician has pronounced her “pretty near perfect” and I couldn’t agree more.
Now, just to get on some long term birth control (the hospital was Catholic, so the doc couldn’t tie my tubes), because I am NOT going through all of that again if I can help it.
It’s been a long time, but I come bearing happy news. I am 26 weeks and 4 days pregnant with a little girl!
I didn’t post on here about it before because of the last two times being miscarriages and this pregnancy hasn’t been without problems. We found out about her (We’re naming her Rosalie Denae and calling her Rosie, after my Grandmother.) in August. At the time, I was only four weeks pregnant. Since then, I’ve been put on modified bed rest twice, spending nearly half of this pregnancy on bed rest already. I only just got released from the second round of bed rest two days ago.
However, I have a really great doctor and she’s been making sure that Rosie and I get the best possible care we can, including prenatal diagnostic testing. Through that testing, we know that Rosie’s chance of having the major birth defects is very low. So far, she looks as healthy as can be. We know we aren’t out of the woods yet. With me being a diabetic, there’s still a chance that something can happen, but we are optimistic.
My first child is now old enough to drive. He actually went job hunting last weekend. Of course, there were no jobs to be found, but he went looking all the same.
