I Hate it When…
by Shannon on Jul.08, 2007, under Chit-Chat
I want to hate a movie and it turns out too good to hate. Case in point, the Transformers movie. They took one of my childhood cartoons and made it live action. All logic states that it would have to suck. (Mind you, I thought that about the Scooby movie, too.)
However, it didn’t suck. I spent the whole 144 minutes either laughing, sitting on the edge of my seat, or just plain wanting to know what would happen next. Not once did I get bored or care that we had bad seats. (Jeremy’s fault.
)
If you have been refusing to watch it for the same reason, go now. It will be time well spent. At the very least, add it to your netflix list and watch it on DVD.
PS: I forgot to add a reminder that you should check your brain at the door. However, it’s kinda pointless to remind you of that these days. With most of the shite coming out of Hollywood these days, it’s a given that you have to check your brain at the door. No?
It’s About That Time

Well, I’m getting ready for another trip down South. In about two weeks I will be making the 864 mile, 14 (plus) hour trek to see my family and friends and to pick up the boys. I’ll be staying about a week and then getting my happy butt back in the driver’s seat for another 14 (did I mention plus?) hour trip.
I’m anxious about this trip because I’ll be going a different, unknown way. I could drive over to Indy and go down the usual way from there, but that would add an extra hour to my trip. Who needs that?
I’m also excited about this trip, though. Through myspace, I’ve reconnected with a lot of my old friends from my hometown and I can’t wait to see them again. As usual, I believe every single day of my trip is planned out. I’m not complaining, though. Roaming over the tri-county area and visiting old friends you haven’t seen in nearly ten years is a wonderful way to spend a vacation.
On a different note, Jeremy had a minor surgery today to remove a benign tumor. He did fine and is taking it easy for a few days.
